Description

Deploy, manage, and configure OpenStack in production

OpenStack Bootcamp III (OS300) is a 3 day instructor-led training for administrators, deployment engineers, or other IT team members responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OpenStack.

This course requires students to be very familiar with the command line and have already taken the OS100 or OS110 courses. The course is broken up into two sections: lectures and labs.

The lectures provide an OpenStack recap, an overview of most common OpenStack HA architectures, details of Fuel, Neutron, and Ceph. Additionally, the lectures provide an introduction to Murano and Sahara.

The labs provide hands-on experience through the automated deployment of multi-node highly available OpenStack from scratch. Students will also learn how to extend Fuel through specialized labs by developing a custom Fuel plugin. Over the length of the course, students will also use Murano to deploy an application from the OpenStack Application Catalog and utilize Sahara to deploy a Hadoop cluster on the top of OpenStack.

Upon completion of this course, you will have an understanding of how to deploy a highly available production grade OpenStack cloud.
